Meditation
To truly experience your five bodies — the five layers of existence — meditation is the path. It is the practice of turning inward, entering the inner mind, and consciously experiencing your inner world. For centuries, meditation has been misunderstood as something difficult or reserved only for a few blessed souls. In reality, everyone naturally goes within, feels their inner space, and engages with their deeper self. Through simple yet powerful techniques, this inward journey can be made deeper and more transformative, allowing you to consciously work with all five bodies that you already use in everyday life.
How to master panch Kosha ?
To get an absolute experience of your five bodies, the five layers of existence, meditation is the only way. Meditation is the practice of going to Inner mind and experiencing the inner world.
For centuries, a wrong notion has been spread regarding meditation. That it is very difficult; not everyone can meditate, only some blessed people can do it. The fact is that it is so easy, anyone does meditation. Everyone goes inside himself. Everyone addresses, or feels, or sees his or her inner world. To make the experience deeper and more effective, there are certain techniques that are used to go inside, go deeper inside and then work with the different bodies. Apart from this, everyone also uses his or her five bodies unknowingly. All this is completely natural.
Who taught you how to breathe? That comes naturally. But, pranayam is used to control the breath to get some different effects. Who taught you how to walk? No one; but yes, a brisk walk gives different effects from those given by everyday ordinary walking. Who taught you how to sleep? It refreshes you after a long day, but it gives you greater relaxation if you know the yoga nidra.
Individuals who have unknowingly or naturally touched the higher two and a half Koshas (from Mind body to Ananda body) have experienced growth in life.
Flashes of new ideas, avenues and crucial decision making capabilities can be achieved only in these Koshas.
You are already doing everything by default. There is nothing unnatural, there is nothing special, but the vedic tradition developed a few methods to explore the different layers of Being. They developed yoga; however, this does not mean that your body is not fit for seventy years or ninety years if you are not doing yoga.
There are many people who are smoking, drinking, eating anything, and still living upto the age of hundred years without following any yoga routine. But, if you follow yoga, it can definitely give you a healthier body.
Sage Patanjali says in yoga sutras “yogah chitta vritti nirodhah”. It means - ‘Stopping the vrittis of chitta is yoga’. The word vritti has originated from the word vrit (circle)
