The central courtyard which is open to sky is known as the Brahmasthan. If it is not open to the sky, it is not a Brahmasthan. In fact this is the place for all possibilities. That is why it is a wrong belief to keep this place empty.
In the past 200 years, in the entire world, if we survey it with MahaVastu knowledge, there are different facts that have come into existence.

Whenever and wherever the central portion was left open in a living space, people residing there lost their ability to grow and evolve. They remained satisfied without any reason. Vastushastri Khushdeep Bansal, besides observing palaces in Washington DC, London and ancient temples, collected data regarding people residing in Victorian houses in England that had an open courtyard and they were rulers of the world. Had there been any Brahmasthan open, their children would have never evolved. Their mental growth would have been like that of animals.
There had been two kinds of knowledge in ancient times:
One, for the common man and,
the other, for the rulers.
The knowledge used for kings and temples was different. We, in MahaVastu, follow that knowledge which says we can control the human mind through the building.
Temples were meant to make you ruler of your own life. So, if one went there and regularly performed certain rituals (techniques) in those temple, then he would possess the psyche and vision of a king and be the ruler of his own life. This was the chemistry that developed inside you. It is only about 200-250 years ago that the concept of worshipping statues began. Earlier, there used to be no statues of gods in temples. It does not mean that temples were empty; in fact certain energy fields were developed there using the principles of vastu shastra. When you entered into that field, closed your eyes, you visualised the field and not a pratima (idol). That was known as darshan - ‘that I saw, by closing my eyes; that I felt, I saw the deity.’ This was the real concept behind visiting temples. There was no Brahmasthan there. The moment you make a Brahmasthan, those fields are lost and these are vital fields.
