June 10–15, 2026: Venus & Jupiter Shine Together in a Rare Sky Event

Skywatchers across India have a wonderful opportunity this week to witness one of the most beautiful celestial events of 2026.

Venus and Jupiter, the two brightest planets visible in the evening sky, are appearing unusually close together in what astronomers call a planetary conjunction. The closest alignment occurred on June 8–9, but the planets remain easy to spot from June 10 to June 15.

What Is a Conjunction?
